National Cadet Corps

The College has a full-fledged NCC unit. The unit has been arranging different programmes from time to time to inculcate a feeling of patriotism, brotherhood and self confidence in the cadets. Willing students are imparted necessary training under a trained officer.

National Social Service

As part of the programme of National Social Service the NSS unit of the College was established in 1971. By this time the unit has launched many developmental projects and successfully executed them for the development of roads and communications in the interior places of the district. With a mission to render Social Services students are welcome to join NSS.

Kokrajhar Govt. College Science Society was established in the year 1969 with the mission to take science education to common people and to create among them awareness about Environment, Health, Hygiene and to promote interest in maintaining a decent life free from health hazard. Kokrajhar Govt. College Science Society is playing a significant role in this regard.

Consultancy and Career Counselling Centre has been introduced in the College with the aim and objective to counsel the job seekers about the courses available to build future career.

The College has opened an Extension Education Centre to carry out activities related to the public and development of general interest on contemporary affairs, giving training for professional skills development, functional literacy and numeracy programme, formal and non-formal education. The goal of this centre is giving higher education more social relevance, building bridges between practical fields of work and learning and involving the institution in the development of community.

The achievements of the College in sports are remarkable. Both in outdoor and indoor games students of the institution have brought Laurels year after year. The College play a key role in inter-college tournament of Gauhati University. The College team won championship in football as many as 8(eight) times. There are facilities to train the budding athletes in both outdoor and indoor games.

The College has the facility of distance learning offered by its study centre, IGNOU. With the expansion of industrialisation and urbanisation the traditional modes of learning has become inadequate and the new technique of learning has become imperative. IGNOU is one of such modern devices of education that was established in 1986 on National basis with a view to cater to the wider needs of population of all walks of life.

Candidates aspiring for higher education other than conventional one may choose for distance learning through IGNOU.

Kokrajhar Govt. College is famous for cultural and traditional activities, where students and teacher alike take pride in maintaining and taking active part in these. The College authority in order to encourage the students in this regard has opened a Cultural Activities Centre. Interested students can associate themselves with the centre.

To improve debating skill of the students of the College, a debate club has been established comprising of students and teachers. Debate club holds debate competitions periodically by organizing state, national and international debate competitions.

The College has the provision for Grievance Redressal Cell in order to assist the students to get their grievances redressed. The cell shall receive and hear the grievance and attend to it for timely solution if necessary.

The College has made an arrangement to provide facilities for Indoor Games like Badminton, Table Tennis, etc. in the Indoor stadium of Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA) as per agreement between the College authority and KDSA. As such the College has the privilege of undergoing trainings and participating in competitions of various events during College Week in the facilities of the Indoor Stadium of KDSA.
